Silver Sound is a professional recording studio located on the
coast of Wollongong (one hour south of Sydney).
The studio is a comfortable space for bands and soloists to
record and mix their next musical project. Many artists that have
recorded at Silver Sound describe the studio as a warm,
comfortable space that invites creativity.

Silver Sound was established in 2008 by local muso Ben Davies
with the objective of offering illawarra bands quality, affordable
recordings. The last 5 years has seen Silver Sound grow a strong
reputation for producing recordings of a high standard, and
now sees bands from Sydney and interstate travel to record at SS.

"I started the studio to help the local bands of the illawarra
 and its just grown from there. I know some musicians don't have
a lot of money... I'm one of them. I want to help bands
and give them the opportunity to have great recordings
that are on par with Australia's best.
I own the studio and all the equipment, which means
I can keep the price low for the client.

The studio is made up of an acoustically designed live room,
control room and guitar amp isolation space. The studio is also equipped
 with a large variety of microphones from; Rode, Beesneez,
Audix, EV, and the racks hold gear from Universal Audio,
TL Audio and LA Audio.

When tracking you have the option of recording the band live
to capture a raw live performance, or layer your tracks one by
one, experimenting with different tones and instruments to ensure your
recording is of the highest standard.
