Silver Sound is a professional recording studio located in
Wollongong, NSW (one hour south of Sydney).
Close to the beach and a short drive from the shops and bars of
Wollongong CBD, the studio is a comfortable space
for musicians to record and mix their music/band projects.
Many artists that have recorded at Silver Sound
describe the studio as a friendly,
comfortable space that invites creativity.

Silver Sound was established in 2008 by local muso Ben Davies with
the objective of offering illawarra bands quality, affordable
recordings. The last 6 years has seen Silver Sound grow a
strong reputation for producing recordings of a high
standard, and now sees bands from Sydney
and interstate travel to record at Silver Sound.

The studio is made up of an acoustically designed live room,
control room and guitar amp isolation space. The studio is
equipped with a large variety of microphones from; Rode, Beesneez,
Audix, EV, and the racks hold gear from Universal Audio,
Focusrite and TLAudio. We also have in-house drum kits, guitars,
tube amps and a piano.

"I started the studio to help the local bands of the Illawarra
and it's just grown from there. I want to help bands
and give them the opportunity to have great recordings
that are on par with Australia's best at an affordable price.
